Thillaisthanam

“Thillaisthanam – originally known as Thirunai thanam” is a beautiful agraharam situated near the bank of Kaveri river 1km from Thiruvaiyyaru, Kumbakonam thaluk. Here alights the temple of Sri Alermelmanga Sametha Sri Srinivasa perumal, a very ancient temple where our great scholars like Thillaisthanam swamy and many others have worshipped the lord and immersed in his beauty!

He is so beautiful that one might not feel like moving away his eyes from him !! This temple is a Abhimaana kshetram to Thrirupernagar(Koviladi) Appakudathan Sannidhi. Sri Srinivasa perumal has done miracles in many of the bhakthas life and have blessed them with his kaarunyam. He is all powerful and Kshipraprasadhi (immediate blessing). Many such incidents have been reported where Perumal has come in dreams of several bhagavathas who have not even heard about this place and has commanded to visit this kshethram. Through out the year people from various places across India and abroad visit Perumal to seek His blessings. Many prarthana utsavams like garuda sevai, thirukalyanotsavam, lakshaarchanai takes place every year when devotees wishes are fullfilled.

The Temple follows Sri Paancharathra Aagamam in accordance with the paadhma samhita text. Every year annual bramhotsavam is conducted in the month of Chittirai and theerthavaari takes place on Shravana Nakshathram. Other utsavams like pavithrotsavam, adhyayanotsavam, thirukalnaotsavam, parvotsavam are performed alike divyadesam. Astabandhana Samprokshanam for this temple was conducted during May 2012.

Also many other divya kshetrams are very near by like Thirukandiyur, Perumpuliyur, Vennathankarai, Pudhuagraharam, Kalyanapuram etc.
