The newly constructed TTD Sri Venkateswara Temple opened in a ceremonious way in the nation’s capital city in New Delhi today (May 29, 2013; Wednesday).
Constructed in 1.17 acres in Udyan Marg by TTD at a cost of Rs 1.5 crores opened amidst the chanting of vedic mantras, homam(Havan) by temple priests with religious aplomb. The day’s special pujas and rituals including Sri Venkateswara, Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Godadevi, Sri Garudalwar Prana Pratistha, Mangalasasanam, Srimad Ramayana-Sri Bhagavata-Sribhasyam, Sri Gita Bhashyam, Astamangala Darshana, Teertha-prasada distribution have been performed and the devotees were later allowed for darshan of Lord Venkateswara. There will be spiritual discourse on SriMad Bhagavatam and Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavam by renowned scholar Sri Mallapragada Srimannarayana between May 29th and 30th from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
TTD is contemplating to begin Nityannaprasadam (free distribution of food) soon in this temple also on the lines of Tirumala. Separately, TTD has plans to construct another temple in the historical city of Kurukshetra.

Express our gratitude to TTD for constructing such a fine temple in New Delhi for those who are unable to visit Tirumala.
I only wish that arrangements for conducting Poojas and archanas like suprabhatam etc. as being done at Tirumala are also made here too and a system established to book these sevas online. Govinda Govinda !
i am really very much happy to learn this . i am residing here for the past 31 years. found it difficult to go tiruppathi every year. now v can have darshan here itself. i pay my full gratitudee and congrates to all the devottees who worked hard to construct this temple here.
