Sri Nrusimha Jayanthi Mahotsavam was completed with Grand Vidayatri Utsavam on 25th May, 2013 at Sri Ahobila Mutt, Chembur, Mumbai.
Vidayatri Utsavam was organised by SPVST sabha. In the morning, Utsavar Sri Prahalada Varadan had Thirmanjanam with His consorts. In the evening, Sri Prahalada Varadan was enjoying the dolotsavam with His consorts and Pratiyar, Sri Chenchulakshmi Thayar. He was purely in ekandham with Sandal Paste all over His Thirumeni and few simple Thiruvabharanams.
Pushpa Yagam followed the Dolotsavam. Kilos of fragrant flowers were offered to Lord as well as SriDevi Boodevi Nachiyar and Sri Chnchulakshmi thayar amid Veda gosham and Saxphone music concert by Sri. Manikandan.
The Astiga crowd started multiplying and the Mandapam was completely packed once Mangala arathi started. After Satrumurai, all the Kainkaryaparal, Managing committee Members,Managers and Office staff were hanoured by the Sabha with Sambhavanai,Veshti and Salvai etc.
Though the procession could start only at 9 pm, the Astigal crowd was not keen to move away. There was a broad smile on their face and brightness on their eyes once Lord came out with His consorts on the tastefully decorated Pushpa Pallakku. More than 5 dozen of Sripaada thangigal participated in the procession. Event hough it was too late, bhaktas were waiting on the entire route of procession to take the blessing from Lord at their doorstep.
It was almost midnight when the procession got back to temple which is not unusual on Vidayatri Utsavam Day.
