The “Aani Tirumanjanam” also known as “Jyeshtabhishekam’ is grandly celebrated at Srirangam Sri Renganathaswamy temple every year on the month of Aani (june/July). This vijaya varusham it took place on 22-06-2013, On this occasion the holy water brought in gold and silver pots from the rivers cauvery and is used for thiru manjanam.The festival signifies special ‘thirumanajam’ to the presiding deity Lord “Ranganathan” of Sri Renganathaswamy Temple.
As of no water flow in river cauvery. The water was taken from small well like construction in the river cauvery. Here are some of the photos taken during the grand occasion of taking Holy water to the temple.
