Thiruvadipooram at Tirumala

Vijaya Varusha Thiruvadipooram was celebrated well at Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Thirukkoil on August 9th, 2013. Tirumala-Tirupati Jeeyars HH Sri Periyakoil Kelviyappan Sadagopa Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar Swamy along with Sri Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, who are observing Chaturmasyam at Tirumala since July 22nd 2013, carried the vastram of Lord Venkateswara for Sri Goda Devi. This year, the utsavam, celebrating the avathara thirunaal of Sri Andal (Godadevi), was special as it took place in the presence of HH Srimath Srimushnam Andavan Sri Rangaramanuja Maha Desikan who is observing the 25th Chaturmasya Vratham at Andavan Ashramam,Tirumala, since 23th of July 2013. On this day, Andal Thiruppavai pasurams were rendered in front of the main deity of Lord Venkateswara.

Another utsavam celebrated on the same day is the Purusaitototsavam, associated with the day Sri Anantazhwan ascended to Paramapadam. The processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy accompanied by his two Consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi had purappadu to Sri Purusaivari Tota. Sri Anantazhwan (1053 AD) dedicated 102 years in the service of Lord Venkateswara through pushpa kainkaryam. To mark the contributions of this Acharyan, Purusaivari Tototsavam is performed every year in Tirumala. After reaching Vrindavan of Sri Anantazhwan, Astanam was performed to the processional deities. Later, the special garlands of Lord Malayappa were decorated to a tree representing Sri Anantazhwan.
