Vijaya Varusha Thiruvaadipooram was celebrated grandly yesterday, 9th of August 2013 at Thiruvahindrapuram divya desam near cudalor. The whole day was filled with series of events as below
- 1) Thirumanjanam for Lord Devanathan & Sri Aandal along with Swami Desikan in the same mantapam, specially prepared for this vaibhavam (about 3 hrs – 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM)
- 2) Ekantha purappadu of Lord Devanathan & Sri Aandal along with Swami Desikan to Lord Devanatha Swami’s Sannidhi (@ 8:45 AM)
- 3) Special purappadu of Swami Desikan (in swayam thirumeni) from Lord Devanatha swami sannidhi to his Sannidhi (@ 9:15 AM)
- 4) Thirupavadai (kadambam, dadhiannam & also fruits used for Thirumanjanam) at Swami Desikan sannidhi (10:00 AM)
- 5) Purappadu of Lord Devanathan & Sri Aandal (Serthi)to Sri Aandal Sannidhi (@12:00 PM)
- 6) Divya Prabhandha ghoshti commenced with Thiruppallandu and thereafter Thiruppalliyezhuchi, Thiruppavai, Nachiar Thirumozhi, Kanninunsiruththambu, periya Thirumozhi (Sthalathu Pasurams), Thiruvaimozhi (patham pathu), Ramanuja Nootrandhadhi, Mummanikkovai, Navamanimalai, and Prabhandasaram (about 3 hrs – 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM)
- 7) Saatrumurai (about 1 hr – 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM)
- 8) Veedhi Purappadu (@ 6:30 PM)on specially made Ratham. Usually Perumal with Aandal brought down in tholukkiniyan from the Ratham to enter into Swami Desikan Thirumaligai during Veedhi Purappadu and again back into the Ratham. But yesterday’s rain has played spoilsport and Lord Devanathan & Sri Aandal could not be brought inside Thirumaligai.
- 9) Lord Devanathan & Sri Aandal reached temple around 10 PM and Sri Sataari Arulapaadu for Swamy Desikan
- 10) Palliarai Sevai of Lord Devanathan & Sri Aandal with special prasadha viniyogam (@ 10:30 PM)
This utsavam was very lively as always for the whole day without much break but next to Puratassi Sravanam utsavam of Swamy Desikan at Thiruvahindrapuram. Some of the photos and videos taken during the utsavam can be viewed below
