Today, August 16th, 2013; Vijaya Aadi Kettai is day-26 of HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yathindra Maha Desikan’s Chathurmasya Sankalpam. Abhigamanam, Theertham and Prasada viniyogam (pulihore) was done systematically. Several devotees had samashrayanam done.
The talk of the town was Andal’s Ther (Poundarikapuram Ashram’s chariot) and the swelling crowds in the temple that was making it difficult for locals to have darshan of Periya Perumal and Periya Piratti. Tommorrow being Ekadashi there will be purappadu at Ranganatha Temple, at 9.15 am followed by Tirumanjanam at Santanu Mandapam. Devotees can do Ekadashi pradakshnam that is circumbulating the circle along the dwaja sthambham.
At the Srimatam, HH 45th Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s Brindavanam spot is being watered daily and flower garlands were offered yesterday, as yesterday was Navami and HH ascended to Paramapadham on the Navami of May 19th 2013.
Today, being Jyesta (ThiruKettai), Thirumanjanam was done at Adhivan Sathakopa Mahadesikan’s sannidhi at Dasavatharan Sannidhi. It is difficult to enumerate the upkarams done by Our first Srimath Azhagiyasingar. Three of Perumal’s avatharas are considered Poornavatharas – Sri Nrisimha, Sri Rama and Sri Krishna. Compared to the other two, SriNrisimha took avatharam and completed protection and destruction in a matter of hours. Yet SriNrisimh avathara is Poornam. The Upanishadhic Sarvavyapitham (complete pervasiveness) is best illustrated in this Avatharam. Here the bhaktha is more glorified than Bhaghavan. Lovers of SriNrisimhadeva however feel that enough has not been told about their beloved Lord. In answer to their prayers He comes down as Srimath Azhagiyasingars who are always there to protect us and take us to Mokshanandam at the end of our life. His first Anupravesham was on Siddharthi Purattasi Jyesta (1379 September) in the holykshetram of ThiruNarayanapuram in Karnataka. HH was initiated to Sanyasashrama by Ahobila Sri LakshmiNrisimha who assumed the ochre robes and administered the Prekshamantram. HH was the first Srimath Azhagiyasingar with the Thirunamam Adivan Sathakopa Yathindra Mahadesikan. Swami was in asthanam for 60 years. HH attained Paramapadham in Bahudanya Chitra Krishna Ekadashi (1459). His Brindavanam is at ThiruNarayanapuram.
