Today September 9th 2013, avani Swathi, is the Thirunakshathram of Sri Thiruvahindrapuram Swami (aka) Sri Srinivasaramanuja Mahadesikan also known as Chinna Swamy. Its is celebrated grandly at Thiruvahindrapuram grandly every year.
About Sri Thiruvahindrapuram Swami (aka) Sri Srinivasaramanuja Mahadesikan (1808 to 1894)
He was born in the Chetlur vamsam and took sanyas at the hands of Sri Kethandapatti Swami. He spent most of his life in Thiruvahindrapuram and attained the eternal bliss at the lotus feet of Sri Devanathan. His well known disciples were – Garudapuram Swami, Chetlur Narasimhachariar, Navaneetham Krishnamachariar and Aadoor Tirumalai Ecchampadi Desikachariar.
The Brindavanam of this Swami exist in Thiruvahindrapuram where His Thirunakshathram is celebrated every year.
