Purattasi Brahmotsavam at Tirumala, which is one of the most important utsavams, commenced on October 5, 2013 (Saturday) with Dwajarohanam. In the evening, there was purappadu for Sri Srinivasar and Ubhaya Nachiyars on Pedda Sesha Vahanam. Ankurarpana and Senadhipati (Vishvaksenar) Utsavam took place on the day preceding day (October 4, 2013).
This year (Vijaya Varusham), the Brahmotsavam will conclude on October 13, 2013. Some of the important utsavams are Garuda Sevai on October 9, 2013; Thanga Ther on October 10, 2013; Rathotsavam on October 12, 2013: and Chakrasnanam on October 13, 2013. Several hundreds of devotees from across the country and outside visit Tirumala for this utsavam.
Recently on September 30, 2013, Therottam for the Noothana Swarna Ratham took place well whereby the golden chariot was taken on a procession along four mada streets and kept inside the newly constructed Swarnaratha mandapam behind Vahana Mandapam.
