Maida Dosai

Maida Dosai

Ingredients

Maida
3/4cup
Rice flour
1/4cup
Salt
3/4tsp
Cumin seeds
1tsp
Curry leaves
few
Green chilli
one

Method
1.Mix maida,rice flour,salt,chopped green chilli,curry leaves with water.
2.Make it into a smooth paste without any lumps.
3.Let the consistency be little watery than the normal dosa dough.
4.Pour it into the dosa tawa and cook on both sides till done.

Suggestions

  • The above quantity makes 5 dosas so you can measure accordingly.
  • You can also add some coriander leaves and chopped ginger for more flavour.
  • Let the consistency be thicker than rawa dosa otherwise it is difficult to make.
  • If it is not coming out from the tawa try adding some more flour to make it thick.

General guidelines for healthier food – Both body and mind:

  • One should be thinking about Perumal (Nama Smaranam) while cooking, and the purpose should be to offer the preparation to Him.
  • Once the food is prepared, it should be offered to Perumal first. While offering, one should make sure that the food is neither too hot nor cold. It should be offered with love and affection.
  • Please do not offer either pre-cooked food bought from outside or any pre-consumed food.
  • Please follow thiruvaradanam kramam as instructed by your respective acharya. (http://anudinam.org/2012/03/08/bhagavad-tiruvaradhanam/)
  • Follow ahara niyamam as much as possible. Atleast make sure that onion and garlic are not used at all.(http://anudinam.org/2012/06/11/srivaishnava-ahara-niyamam/)
  • Please ensure that food which are not prasadams are not consumed.
