Mannadimangalam is 30 Kms from Madurai and 3 kms from Solavandan.

Anjaneya wanted to see the Narasimha Form of the Lord. The Lord gave him the Darshan in Solingapuram and to Garuda (the eagle vehicle of Lord Vishnu) in Ahobilam. Anjaneya and Garuda are the Dwarapalakas (security) in the temple. There is no flag post or Vimanam in the temple.

Lord Narasimha is linked with all the planets in different places. In Mannadi Mangalam, Lord Narasimha rules over Mars. Therefore, men and women having problems of Mars come to Mannadimangalam Narasimha Swami temple for remedies, most especially relief from the hurdles of marriage settlements.

Lord Narasimha, known for his furious nature, appears here in all peace and smile – Shanti. One would be too lucky to see a pillar in the temple having all the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu with a lion and elephant – Gaja Kesari -performing penance. This is in the western part of the temple. The temple complex has three trees – Mango, Jack and Plantain. The Andal Shrine has the Tulsi plants and a water tub as in Srivilliputhur. People offer Thirumanjanam and jewels to Lord for elimination of obstacles in the way of marriages, evils of Mars, for children and family peace.
