The 10-day Swami Desikan Thirunakshatra Utsavam at Sri Vaikuntanathar Thirukkoil, Ber Sarai, New Delhi concluded on October 22, 2013. The utsavam was celebrated in a grand manner. On the last day, Swami Desikan’s purappadu took place along with Sri Ranganathar (utsavar) on Garuda azhwar in the evening. Several bhaktas participated in the utsavam, particularly on the last day to get the anugraham of Swami Desikan and Perumal (Garuda Sevai).
During the utsavam, thirumanjanam was performed to Swami Desikan every day in the morning and purappadu took place in the evening. Vedam and Divya Prabhandam Parayanam also took place in the morning and evening.
Earlier, the annual Navaratri Utsavam took place in a grand manner between October 5 and 13, 2013. Perumal gave sevai to bhaktas in different alankarams. On the concluding day, i.e Vijayadasami, purappadu of Sri Ranganathar on Kudhirai vahanam took place in the koil prakaram.
