As part of the ongoing Vijaya Varusha Oonjal Utsavam at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Divya Desam, Day 9 utsavam is being celebrated today in a grand manner. In the morning, Theerthavari took place in Chandra Pushkarni followed by Thirumanjanam for Namperumal. Today being the concluding day of the 9-day utsavam, Oonjal Utsavam Satrumurai will take place in the evening.
Earlier on October 28, 2013, Nel Alavu Kandarulal’took place in the evening of Day 7 utsavam. Namperumal personally inspected the granary and witnessesed the measurement of paddy that have accrued and visited Sri Ranganayaki Thayar Sannadhi for Thiruvanthikapu. Oonja Utsavam, which is celebrated for 9 days at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Divya Desam, commenced on October 22, 2013 (Tuesday). During this utsavam, Namperumal has Oonjal Utsavam in Oonjal/Dolai Mandapam everyday evening from around 6 pm to around 9 pm. There will be special alankaram for Perumal on all the days.
