Today, October 31, 2013; Vijaya Varusha Aippasi Uthiram, Swarna Mangalagiri purappadu for Sri Sengamalavalli Thayar took place in a grand manner at Sri Amaruviappan Thirukkoil, Therazhundur. Devotees participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of Thayar and Perumal.

About the temple:
Therazhandur (ThiruVazhandur), a Krishnaranya Kshetram, is situated 11kms West of Mayavaram. A tall and handsome 12 feet Lord DevathiRajan is flanked on his right by Prahalad and on his left by Garuda. Thayar is Sengamalavalli in a separate sannidhi. Thirumangai Azhwar has done mangalasaasanam for this Perumal with 45 Pasurams. Besides Vaikasi Brahmotsavam, Chitrai Raamar Utsavam is celebrated grandly here.
