The Temple Commitee are renovating a very old Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple located at Vellimedu, a small village on Tindivanam-Vandavasi highway. This temple is more than a century old and worshipped by all Vellimedu Srivaishnavas. Unfortunately, the temple was completely washed away by floods and vandalized in the subsequent years.
Considering the history of the temple and the dedicated worship that was carried out by our ancestors, a committee has been formed as Vellimedu Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple Kainkarya sabha.The sabha has taken up the task of completely renovating the temple with separate sannidhis for Lord Srinivasar, Thayar and the samprokshnam is planned to be performed in early 2014 .
