Thirupavithrotsavam took place in a grand manner at at Sri Perundevi Nayeka sametha Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Injimedu, from November 12 to 15, 2013. The temple belongs to Sri Ahobila Mutt Aadhinam. Several Bhaktas participated in the Pavithrotsavam and got the blessings of Acharya, Thayar and Perumal.
Injimedu, also known as Sri Narasimhapuram, is located on the banks of Cheyyar (Bahunadhi) 24 km from Vandavasi and 140 km from Chennai and was established by Sixth Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam Sri Shasta Parankusa Yatheendra Mahadesikan. It is believed that various yagnas were performed in this village for Lord Sriman Narayanan and thus called as Yagamedu (Yagnavedhikai) which over the years came to be known as Injimedu. This is the birth place of two of the Jeeyars of Sri Ahobila Mutt: the 34th Pontiff Sri Sadagopa Ramanuja Yatheendra Mahadesikan and the 42nd Pontiff Sri SriRanga Sadagopa Yatheendra Mahadesikan.
