The ongoing Panchami Theertha Utsavam at Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam (SVDD), Mylapore, concluded on December 7, 2013. On the evening of Day 7 and Day 8, Thayar purappadu took place in Gaja Lakshmi Alankaram and on Kudhirai Vahanam. On the concluding day of Thayar Utsavam (December 7, 2013), Theerthavari took place in the morning while Thanga Kedayam purappadu took place in the evening. In the morning, after tirumanjanam, Thayar looked stunningly beautiful, dazzling and shining so brightly to shower her grace on Her bhaktas and when the children of piratti get connected through her Sripada theertham, there is nothing more to wish for. This is the ultimate prapatti each one must realise. Several devotees participated in the utsavams to get Thayar’s anugraham.
Meanwhile, on On December 6, 2013, Kaliyan (Thirumangai Azhwar) Thirunakshatram Utsavam commenced. This utsavam will take place for 10 days culminating in Azhwar’s Thirunakshatram Karthigaiyil Karthigai. On this first day of the utsavam, Jathi Swaralaya Natiya Palli children’s performed in temple.
