Chakrateertha Mukkoti Performed at Tirumala

Today, December 14, 2013; Vijaya Varusha Karthigai Bharani, the annual festival of Chakrateertha Mukkoti was performed at Tirumala. The temple priests performed special pujas to Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar at Chakrateertham. Chakrateertham is considered to be one of the holy teerthams located in the wide spread ranges of Seshachalam hills. Among the 66 crore divine waterfalls believed to be located in Tirumala, Chakra Teertham is said to be one of the most auspicious “Saptha Teerthas” in Seshachalam ranges. After the second bell in Srivari temple, a team of archakas, temple officials went to the holy Chakra Teertham which is located in Southern side to the temple in deep green forests. Special puja and abhishekam was performed to the presiding deities of Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar, Sri Narasimha Swamy and Sri Anjaneya Swamy.
