On January 1; Vijaya Varusha Margazhi Moolam, Hanumath Jayanthi was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Sowmiyanarayana Perumal Thirukkoil, Thirukoshtiyur. Thirumanjanam and alankaram for Sri Anjaneyar took place well. Anjaneyar (moolavar) gave Vennai Kappu and Chandana Kappu sevai to bhaktas and adorned the vada malai. Several devotees participated in the utsavam and received the blessings of Sri Anjaneyar.
