As part of the ongoing Vijaya varusha Thai Brahmotsavam at Sri Saranayaki sametha Sri Saranatha Perumal Temple, Thirucherai which commenced on January 8, 2014, purappdu for perumal took place on Garudazhwar today evening and Pallakku purappadu in the morning.
Dwajarohanam and Day 1 utsavam took place with purappadu in Indira Vimanam on January 9, 2014. On Day 2 of the utsavam (January 10, 2014), Perumal gave sevai as Dwarakadeesh. The utsavam will carry on until January 18, 2014.
