Sri Perundevi Nayika Sametha Sri Abeeshta Varadaraja Swami Sannidhi at kArukurichchi, is believed be more than 1000 years old. kArukurichchi has the unique distinction of blessings us with two mahAns, 40th Pattam – Periya kArukurichchi Azhagiyasingar and 41th Pattam – Chinna kArukurichchi Azhagiyasingar.
Another notable feature of kArukurichchi Sri Varadaraja Swami Sannidhi is that many Azhagiyasingars have performed MangaLAsAsanam of kArukurichchi Sri Varadaraja Swami Sannidhi.
Moolavar is Sri Abeeshta Varadaraja Perumal (varaprasadhi). There is a separate (Thani Sannidhi) for Sri Perundevi Thayar and Swami Desikan. Also, there is a Krishnar Sannidhi in the same street, which is presently under Sri Ahobila Mutt’s management (Adheenam).
As per the niyamanam and divyAnugraham of prakrutham 46th Azhagiyasingar – SrivaNN Satakopa Sri Ranganatha Yatheendra Mahadesikan – bhagavatas of “Sri Varadaraja Trust” are performing various kainkaryams like perfoming the daily rituals, conducting the annual Brahmotsavam etc.
Last Samprokshanam for this Sannidhi was performed about 15 years back. Bhagavatas are making sincere efforts to perform the next Samprokshanam soon.
To perform the present ongoing kainkaryams better and to perform the Samprokshanam, “Sri Varadaraja Trust” seeks support from bhagavatas by offering ‘yathA sakthi” sambhavanai to this noble kainkaryam and get the divyAnugraham of Srimad Azhagiyasingars, Swami Desikan, Sri Perundevi Thayar and Sri Abeeshta Varadaraja Perumal.
