On March 122014, Vijaya Varusha Masi Pushyam; was the concluding day of Tirupalliyodai utsavam for NamPerumal. NamPerumal left Moolasthanam in Purappadu at 7.30 a.m. and stopped for several ubhayams blessing and pleasing devotees along the route. The frentic activity that happens when NamPerumal is expected cannot be put into words. Devotees wait with Poorna kumbham much ahead of the expected time of arrival, every drum beat makes one’s heart beat fast, He is coming what if we miss Him is the feeling of all? Trays and trays of fruits, butter, sugar candy, dried fruits in plenty, flowers are kept ready yet it doesn’t seem enough. As NamPerumal is brought to the threshold devotees close around for a close darshan, theertham and SriSathari and when it is time to leave they feel “So soon?” After several such visits it was 1.00p.m. by the time NamPerumal reached the Theppakulam where theethavari for Sri Sathari took place.
At about 3.00 p.m. NamPerumal’s Tirumanjanam took place at Theppakula asthana mandapam. Several devotees witnessed the same and got Eeravaadai theertham and Tirumanjana Theertham at the conclusion. The Tirumanjana kattiyam was a treat to hear. At 6.30p.m. NamPerumal emerged from the mandapam in golden Otrai Prabhai flanked by several men holding burning torches (not battery-charged). These torches are called NeiPandhams and the day is called Pandhakakshi. NamPerumal clad in yellow silk and sporting various ornaments looked all the more brighter with the moving, flashing lamps. The purappadu went around Chitra Veedhi to reach Moolasthanam by 8.30p.m. With this the Tirupalliyodai utsavam came to a successful conclusion.

It is good of you to have taken time to post your appreciation. We thank you for the same.
Lt.Col. Sampath sahib – in fact we are indebted to you. But for you the photographs and approach to the events would have been difficult. At every stage you encouraged us, dragged us near Perumal to have good view for photographs. When we were hesitant you came forward and telling other Kainkariaparas and Bhatters what we do and for whom. It is only YOU and your encouragement made it possible. We at Anudinam and personally myself thank you and prey to Lord Ranganatha to grant you all your wishes.
