On April 8, 2014; Vijaya Varusha Panguni Punarpusam, Sri Rama Navami was celebrated in a grand manner at Tirumala. In the morning, Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed to Sri Rama, Sita Piratti, Sri Lakshmana and Anjaneya Swamy at Ranaganayakula Mandapam inside the Temple. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) cancelled Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on Rama Navami day and cancelled Vasanthotsavam even on April 9 following special rituals on these two auspicious days. In the evening, Sri Rama had purappadu on Hanumantha Vahanam around the four mada streets. Later on their return to the temple, the temple priests performed special rituals including reciting “Sri Rama Jananam” in Sri Rama Navami Asthanam, that which takes place near Bangaru Vakili in the night at around 10 pm.
