Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavam commenced at Sri Kothandaramaswamy Temple, Vaduvur, on April 8th, 2014. On Day 6 (April 13, 2014), thiruveedhi ula took place in the morning and Mohana alankaram took place late in the night.
Being Bhaktavatsalam, Lord Rama along with Sita Pirati (Divya Thambathi) started his visit (Veedhi Ula) at 7 am to personally provide darshan to every bhaktas (devotees) house in the Vaduvur Village (37 streets) and returned back at around 10 pm. Devas and asuras started churning with mount Mandara with snake Vasuki as the rope. Maha Lakshmi, Kaustubha ratnam, Kamadhenu, Kalpavriksham, Sharangam and various other celestial items emerged. Finally the nectar of immortality, Amirtham, emerged and immediately devas and asuras started fighting for its passion. Maha Vishnu took to form a lady (Mohini), who was the most beautiful lady that the assembled gods, devas and asuras have ever seen. Mohini distributed the Amirtham to devas, who then vanquished the asuras. The enigmatic beauty of Vaduvur Rama is further enhanced by HIS Mohana Alankaram.
