On April 24, 2014; Jaya Varusha Chitrai Avittam, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Koil Brahmothsavam Concludes with Vettiver Thiruther being Day 10 of Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Koil Brahmothsavam,Perumal purappadu took place in Vettiver Thiruther in the night.Before the Purappadu all the perumals in the temple namely, Azhagiyasinghar, Ranganathar, Vedavalli thayar, Gajendra Varadhar, Ramar, Andaland all the Alwars & Acharyans were in the Mandappam and a large crowd had gathered to receive Sri Sattari of the Perumals. Perumal proceeded to the small Ther wihch was decorated with Vettiver swiftly from the mandappam. Vettiver that was used for decoration filled the complete area with a rich feeling of divinity and made the the asthikas to pull the chariot with a lot of grace. Perumal purappadu proceeded along with a grand arulicheyal ghoshti and veda parayanam ghoshti in the thirumaada veedhis of Thiruvallikeni. Several devotees participated in the utsavam and received Sri Parthasarathy Perumal’s blessings.
