On 29 May 2014, Jaya varusha Vaikasi Rohini ; The Annual Vaikasi Brahmotsavam pre event Selvar utsavam took  place in grand manner at Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Sri Vedanta Desikar Devasathanam, Mylapore ,Chennai. In the evening Srinivasa Perumal Selvar Purappadu took place in Ul prakaram of the temple premises. The brahmotsavam will commence with Dvajarohanam on 31 May 2014. Lot of astikas took part in the purappadu and had blessings of Perumal.
