On July 8, 2014; Jaya Aani Visakam, the three-day annual Jyestabhishekam commenced at Sri Govindraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati. In the morning, Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Ubhaya Nachiyars in the presence of HH Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. There was thiruveedhi purappadu amidst chanting of Divya Prabandam (Mudal Thiruvandadi) and Vedam.
This utsavam is conducted every year during Ashada Masam, Jesta Nakshatram for three days. Also known as Abidhyeyaka Abhishekam, on the first day, the archakas performed “Kavachadhivaasam” to the deities amidst the chanting of vedic hymns.
There will be Kavacha Pratisha on July 9 and Kavacha Samarpana on July 10 with which the utsavam will conclude.
