Srimath Mukkur Azhagiyasingar Jaya Varusha Thirunakshatra Mahotsava Thiruveedhi Purappadu At Srirangam-Part 1

On August 29th, 2014; Jaya Varusha Aavani Hastham,As part of HH 44th Srimath Azhagiyasingar SriVan Sathakopa Sri Vedantha Desika Yathindra Mahadesikan’s 119th Thirunakshatram Mahotsavam at Dasavathara Sannadhi, Srirangam.  HH was taken in procession from Dasavatharan Sannidhi at about 4.30 pm. The utsavar was taken from Brindavanam and the first stop was Dasavatharan Sannidhi where karpoora Harathi was done to Perumal and Srimath Azhagiyasingar. Vastram and Mala Maryadhai was done. The procession stopped whenever offerings of fruits kalkandu along with kanikai was offered by devotees.  Crossing the Dasavatharam Arch it made way through Chitra Veedhi stopping in front of Thayar sannidhi before turning left on North Chitra Street, then went on East Chitra making a detour to Uttara Veedhi Sri Ahobila Muth. HH was offered mala maryadha parivatam and Sri Sathari.  Perumal Theertham and Sri Sathari and Kesari prasadam was given to all.  The procession turned on South Chitra street and made its way to The Rajagopuram where the Sripadamthangis lifted HH high up in the air to view The Rajagopuram. The procession turned back stopped at Tirukuralappan sannidhi . This Vamana temple was donated to Sri Ahobila Muth during 45th Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s Tirunakshatram. HH was accorded Poorna Kumbha Maryadai and at the Sannidhi temple Honours were accorded to Srimadh Azhagiasingar. prasada vinoyogam was given to the goshti.. The procession stopped to view South gopuram (Ranga Ranga gopuram) and continued in South Chitra Street turning on West Chitra Street where devotees made offerings and passed North Chitra street, turned left on Kollidam road. The accompanying  prabhandham and Veda parayanam concluded near North Adyavalanchan and via the arch it  went to Poundarika Ashram.  Poornakumbham was offered and Rayapuram Andavan swami offered Dandavath pranamams.  Sugar candy was offered to Srimadh Azhagiasingar and then the group proceeded to Dasavatharan Sannidhi blessing all the residents on the way. The group moved to the lane leading to Tillaisthanam Brindavanam  blessing residents there. The sojourn complete devotees both men and women did,  the clap-dance (kummi ), drishti kayuthal was done by rolling a coconut and shattering it to pieces.  Karpoora Harathi was done and the utsavamurthi was kept back yatha sthanam.  All through the route Swami Desikan’s stotras were recited. Thus ended a beautiful evening!

In the morning, Thirumanjanam was done beautifully at His Brindavanam at 6.30am. After this, Mangala Harathi was done and veda vinappam, prabhandha vinappam, was followed by Periya Satrumurai. Perumal and Acharya sambhavanais were done. Koil Maryadhas were offered to Srimath Mukkur Azhagiyasingar.
