Today, September 29, 2014; Jaya Varusha Purattasi Anusham, Andal Malai from Srivilliputtur arrived at Tirumala ahead of Garuda Sevai of Purattasi Brahmotsavam (scheduled to take place tomorrow). The malai was made of tulasi, sevanthi and sampangi flowers.
Two garlands Andal Mala and Shikamani Mala were brought for offering by two families of flower makers of Srivilliputtur, 650 kms from Tirupati. They were presented by two families accompanied by around 50 devotees who came in several vehicles carrying the garlands on their heads. The Malas were presented to HH Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar who in turn will present it to Lord Venkateswara tonight or tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, nine umbrellas have been donated by Chennai based donors to Srivari Temple. These will be used for Garuda Vahanam. The donors are doing these offerings from the past 8 years.
