On, 4 October 2014, Jaya varusha Purattasi Thiruvonam ;Purattasi Thiruvonam Thirunaal (Day 10) of Swami Desikan Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam was celebrated in grand manner at His avathara sthalam Thoopul Sri Vilakkoli Perumal Sannidhi. In the early morning hours , Swami Desikan did Mangalasasanam to Vilakoli Perumal. Lot of srivaishnavas had darshan of Vilakoli perumal during Swami Desikan Mangalasasanam at Thoopul. Later there was a grand Thirumanjanam for Swami Desikan and Sri Hayagreevar which take place for 2 hours from 11 to 1 p.m . Many Srivaishnavas participated in Veda parayanam and satrumurai. Thereafter, Swami Desikan had purappadu in Periya Thanga Pallakku to Kanchi Sri Devaperumal Thirukkoil. Significantly, today is the only day, Thoopul Swami Desikan can be seen in Anjali Hastham for mangalasasamam of Sri Varadaraja Perumal. In the evening, Swami Desikan blessed the devotees from Pushpa Pallakku. Lot of astikas had darshan of Swami Desikan during Mangalasasanam at Thoopul and had the blessings of Acharya and Perumal.
