Yesterday, December 2, 2014; Jaya Varusha Karthikai Revathi,Being Sukla Paksha Kaisika Ekadasi, purappadu took place for Sri Perarulalan along with Ubhaya Nachiyars in grand manner at Sri Devarajaswami Perumal Kovil, Kanchipuram. In the evening around 5.30 p.m, Sri Devaperumal with his consorts goes for procession (thiruveedhi purappadu) in the sannadhi streets of Kanchipuram to thiruvadi kovil. Sri Perarulalan gave beautiful darshan in irattai kodai outside the gopuram during purappadu. Many Srivaishnavas took part in Arulicheyal and Veda Parayana Goshti during Perumal Purappadu. Several astikas participated in the purappadu and received the blessings of Devaperumal and Thayars.
