On, 15 January 2015, Jaya VarushaThai Visakam , Mahara Sankaranthi Utsavam took place in very grand manner at Sri Venkatachalapathi Perumal Temple, Serangulam, Mannargudi Taluk, Tiruvarur District. Being Thai Maasapirappu(Pongal),In the evening perumal Thiruveedhi purappadu (Pongal) took place in the Temple streets of serangulam in midst of goshti Parayanam. Lot of bhaagavathas took part in the Mahasankaranthi Utsavam and had the blessings of Divya dampatis.
