Kizhathur is located on the banks of Cheyyar ( Bahunadhi) which is six kms away from cheyyar and 100 kms from chennai. Srivaishnavaitse hails from this village is popularly known as Kizhathur Nadathur Sri Bashya Simhasanam. Once upon a time this village was fully occupied by sri vaishnavaites and in the years to come every on left the village one by one for one reason to other. There was temple known as Srimathe Sri boomi Neela Nayika Samedha Sri Lakshminarayanan Perumal Adjoining the brahmin street in Kizhathur village, Which seems to be nearly 200 years old, This temple could not be maintained and no one to take care of the temple in year s the temple structures has fallen down and the temple itself was totally in demolished condition.
The village members have joined together and decided to reconstruct the temple. The construction work has already commenced and the roof concrete for moolasthanam, adjoining artha mandapana and mahamandapam is over. To bring everything under one roof a trust named Kizhathur Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Trust ( KLN Trust) was formed and registered. They have to complete the construction of temple gopuram, Mahamandapam, Thirumadapalli, Compound wall and other related works. For which sufficient fund is required. The estimateed cost for the completion of wroks could be around Rupees 20 Lakhs. The committee request to everyone to join and contribute liberally towards the cause of construction of the temple followed by Mahasamprokshanam and performing the daily rituals, Periodical and annual utsavams and other religious activities in the temple continuously.
