On, April 21, 2015, Manmadha Varusha Chithirai Karthikai; being Akshaya Thiruithiyai (Chitrai Month-valarpirai-சித்திரை மாதம் வளர்பிறை, 3வது திதி), Morning in the streets of Kumbakonam 14 Garuda sevai took place in grand manner. 8 Perumal was taken in procession on garuda vahanam via TSR Street, Big Street. Due to Balalayam in 6 temples those perumal did’nt participate in this year Akshaya Thiruthiyai.The 8 perumal blessed the devotees from Garuda Vahanam. Hanuman was also present during this utsavam.
Thousands of devotees attended this utsavam and had the blessings of perumal.
