Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple(SLNT) is a non-profit tax exempt religious organization established in the state of Wisconsin in October 2013. SLNT is the first temple dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha in the United States and is only the second temple fully dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
The mission of the temple is absolute surrender to Lord Sriman Narayana, and the vision of the temple is to preserve and promote the vishitathvaitha philosophy expounded by Lord Ramanuja. The temple is dedicated as a token of appreciation to Lord Ramanuja who reestablished Vishnu worship in the 10th century and His millennial Birthday (1000th) happens in April 2017. The founders of SLNT Krish and Jayashree Narayanan are fully committed to seeing the temple built in the near future. A 5 acre property with a building has been purchased for the temple for $200,000 with personal financing and monthly mortgage payment. The building has been renovated with the help of small donations raised and a foundation grant. The debt remaining on the land purchase is $135,000.
A temple plan and a site development have been drawn with the help of Indian and American architects. The information is contained in the temple website www.narasimhatemplewi.org
It will take one million dollars to complete the first phase of the temple with a 5000 sq.ft. building with basic facilities and amenities.
