On the evening of 1st June 2015, Devadhirajan ascended on Hanumantha vahanam to bless the devotees in Kanchipuram. Morning He enticed everyone with His Garuda sevai. At about 5.00 p.m. devotees gathered infront of vahana mandapam clad in their best clothes, carrying infants on their hips and showing off their Perumal to their guests. Once the curtain was raised one beheld Perumal clad in a designed silk vastram with His two Feet placed on the outsretched palms of Anjaneyaswami. The golden Hanumantha vahanam is beautiful for Hanuman is Sundaran and is carrying sakshath Manmatha Manmathan. Clad in flowing yellow silk Hanuman happily emerged out of vahana mandapam to the accompaniment of music. At the 16 pillared mandapam “kudai poduthal” took place and admittedly the two white umbrellas are simply beautiful. Outside the Ahobila Muth Srimadh Azhagiasingar (Sundara simham) waited beautifully surrounded by kainkaryaparas to offer mangalasasnams to Sundara Varadan. The Arulichezhal goshti rendered beautiful azhwar pasurams and the Veda goshti offered their Veda vinappam. It was an ennobling sight to see Srimad Azhagiasingar offer his prostrations to the parayanakaras. Blessed indeed were those present to see this beautiful congregation. Perumal returned to vahana mandapama about 10.30 p.m. Several astikas took part in the Hanumanth vahanm and had the blessings of Divya dampathies.
