The three-day annual festival of Avatarotsavams of Lord Sri Sunderaraja Swamy located in Tiruchanoor commenced with religious fervour on 6th July 2015. This is an age old festival in practice since the period of Mahants which is usually observed with the advent of the star Sathayam and concluding on the star Uthirattathi. As a part of it, Sahasranamarchana followed by Kalyanotsavam to Goddess Padmavathi devi between 10:30am to 12 noon were performed. Later special abhishekam to Lord Sri Sundararaja Swamy from 2pm to 3:30pm in Mukha Mandapam was performed followed by Unjal seva to the deity in the evening between 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
On Day 1, there will be procession of Sesha Vahanam took place between 7:15pm to 8:30pm where in the celestial serpent vehicle carried the processional deity of Lord Sri Sunderaraja Swamy along the four-mada streets.
On Day 2, the processional deity of Sunderaja Swamy took celestial ride on Hanumantha Vahanam along the mada streets. Earlier in the day the lord was rendered abhishekam in mukha mandapam followed by unjal seva.
