Therazhandur (ThiruVazhandur), a Krishnaranya Kshetram, is situated 11kms West of Mayavaram. A tall and handsome 12 feet Lord DevathiRajan is flanked on his right by Prahalad and on his left by Garuda. Cauvery undertook penance here at Therazhandur to get liberated from the curse of Sage Agasthiya.
In this Divya desam, the Manmadha Varusha Aippasi Navarathiri Utsavam was grandly celebrated for Sengamala Valli Thayar. The Utsavam was conducted between 13th October to 24th October 2015. On this occasion, Sri Thayar had different Alangaram on each day and Parayana Ghosti was conducted followed by Purappadu on all these nine days. Many devotees participated and had the blessings of Sri Amaruviappan and Sengamala Valli Thayar.
