Karthigai Festival is also called as “the Festival of Lights”. This falls in the Tamil month of Karthigai when the star Krithigai is on the ascendant which usually occurs on full moon day. Thirumangai Azhwar Thirunakshatram and Thirukarthigai Deepam was grandly celebrated at Sri Balaji Mandir, Dombvili. On November 25th 2015, Perumal along with His Consorts and Thirumangai Azhwar had beautiful Alangaram followed by Purappadu with Parayana Ghosti. Grand Satrumurai and Sevakalam took place in the evening. Later Theertham, Sadari was distributed to the Bakthas. Many devotees participated and received the blessings of Divyadampathis and Thirumangai Azhwar.
