The nine-day Navahnika Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi in Tiruchanoor is off to a religious start with Dhwajarohanam in the auspicious Dhanur Lagnam on December 8th 2015 in the temple town. The day began with the celestial Suprabhata Seva followed by Sahasranamarchana, Nityarchana, Suddhi, and Tiruchi Utsavam where in the Goddess in all Her resplendent took a celestial ride in the four mada streets. Later the temple priests as per the norms of Pancharathra Agama performed.
Tirumanjana seva and alankaram to Dhwajasthambham-the temple pillar before getting ready for the most important and foremost ritual of annual brahmotsavams-Dhwajarohanam. In the auspicious muhurat of Dhanurlagnam at 8:32am the Dhwaja Patam carrying the celestial of Goddess Padmavathi-the divine Elephant has been hoisted over the temple pillar implying the successful opening of the nine-day fete.
Earlier the temple priests rendered veda mantras and invited the deities of all lokas by rendition of their favourite ragas including Kalyani, Mohana, Panthuvarali, Sankarabharanam, Saveri, Nata, Kambhoji and others in a grand manner. The parivara devatas including Garuda, Vishwaksena etc.have been invited for the mega religious festival.
The vahanam spree for the annual karthika brahmotsavams in the famous temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi in Tiruchanoor commenced with Chinna Sesha Vahanam on evening. Chinna Sesha Vahanam-the five hooded golden snake enhanced its divine charm as the Goddess took celestial ride on its hood and blessed Her devotees. The Chinna Sesha Vahanam is often considered as the symbolic representation of Serpent God Vasuki. He is also known as Sesha Nagu and is considered as a loyal servant to both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. The devotees were mused by the divine beauty of Goddess Padmavathi on Chinna Sesha Vahanam.

Thanks to ur goodself and request to send photos of Thiruadhyayana Utsavam of Sriranganathaswamy temple srirangam pagal pattu as I am not able to go over to srirangam Raghunathan
