Irapathu of Thiruadhyayana Utsavam was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Nachiyar Kovil, Srivilliputhur Divyadesam. On December 22nd 2015, Sri Perumal and Thayar had beautiful alangaram along with Azhwars and Azhwar Mariyathai was performed. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and Parayana Ghosti. Many Bakthas participated and received the blessings of Divyadampathis and Azhwars. Located 70 Kms South West of Madurai is Srivilliputhur, the birthplace of Andal and considered to be among the holiest of the 108 Divya Desams. This is the birthplace of not one but two Azhvaars and a father-daughter one at that-PeriAzhvaar and Andal.
