Vaikunta Ekadasi was celebrated in a grand manner at Mannargudi Rajagopalaswami Temple. On December 21st 2015, Sri Rajagopalaswamy and Ubhayanachiyars had beautiful alangaram and entered through paramapada vasal and blessed the devotees. Thousands of devotees participated to have the dharshan of Divyadampathis and received the blessings. The temple is located 27Kms South West of Thiruvarur, 30kms SouthEast of Thanjavur and about 30kms South of Kumbakonam. The Vaikunta Ekadasi festival is an occasion when the Paramapada vaasal is opened for devotees. Paramapada Vasal, colloquially known as Sorga vaasal is the Gateway to Heaven.
