Vaikunda Ekadasi, the most holy day of supreme significance for all Sri Vaishnavaites, was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Lakshmi Hayavadhana Perumal Temple, Nanganallur. On December 21st 2015, Sri Perumal along with His Consorts had beautiful alangaram and entered through paramapada vasal and blessed the devotees followed by Purappadu. Thousands of people thronged the temple to have darshan of Divyadampathis and received the blesssings. The Vaikunta Ekadasi festival is an occasion when the Paramapada vaasal is opened for devotees. Paramapada Vasal, colloquially known as Sorga vaasal is the Gateway to Heaven.
