Thai Ekadasi Purappadu took place in a grand manner at Mylapore Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam (SVDD) Srinivasa Perumal Temple. On February 4th 2016, in the evening Sri Perumal along with His Consorts had beautiful alangaram followed by Thiruveethi Purappadu. Later Theertham, Satari was distributed to the devotees. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Several Bakthas participated in the Purappadu and received the blessings of Divyadampathis.
