Kulasekara Azhwar Avathara Utsavam was celebrated in a grand manner at Kanchi Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple. On February 19th 2016, in the evening Sri Perumal along with His Consorts and Sri Thayar had beautiful alangaram followed by Thiruveethi Purappadu along with Kulasekara Azhwar followed by asthanam. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with veda ghosti parayanam and satari mariyadhai was performed to Kulasekara Azhwar. Later sri satari and theertham was distributed to the parayana ghosti. Many Bakthas participated in the Avathara Utsavam and received the blessings of Divyadampathis and Kulasekara Azhwar.

The photos and videos are really fantastic. Though I am a resident of Kanchi, I was away on the day of Kulasekhara Azhwar’s Thirunakshatram. But the spate of photographs of the Divya Dampathi and the Azhwar, have really made me feel that I was also part of the festival. Thanks for the good work.

Kudos to Elangadu swami for the good photos uploaded immediately. That day was great indeed ! First we had Perumal and ubhayanachimars come in purappadu on Sannidhi Street. On their return Thayar clad in brick color silk with black double plated border in sarvalankaram joined Him at the temple entrance. They came upto the dwajasthambam and witnessed the beautiful fireworks. They moved alond Azhwar Tiruchutru to Ramanuja sannidhi where Kulasekharazhwar was waiting to receive them. Prabhanda and vedagosham filled the air and those present felt blessed by the triple bonanza-Perumal with Sri and Bhu, Perundevi Thayar and the king who became an azhwar namely Kulasekhara.
