Brahmotsavam of Lord Sri Kodandaramaswamy Temple in Tirupathi commenced with Dwajarohanam in Meena Lagnam performed on April 4th 2016 morning between 6am and 7am. The day began with the procession of deities in four mada streets during the week hours and later the traditional flag hoisting activity on temple pillar commenced amid chanting of Vedic mantras by archakas. The Garuda on pillar was rendered with harati and naivedyam and later the Garuda Flag was hoisted onto the temple pillar in a ceremonious way.
