Sri Ramanujacharya Sahasramanotsavam at Melkote

Sathsamprasdayakynkyra sabha is a public trust established to take care of the day-to- day running and maintenance of Swamy Deshikan Sannidhi @ Melkote besides involving in other sathsampradaya activities.

Sri Ramunujacharya’s 1000th thirunakshatram (sahasramanotsavam) falls in the year 2017 and as part of that, this trust has taken up the initiative to conduct Yatiraaja Saptati, Ramanuja Nootrandaadi and Paduka sahasram paarayanam once every month leading up to His thirunakshatram next year.

The Goshti and Paranayam will be conducted with highest degree of devotion and reverence to Swamy Deshikan and Swamy Ramanuja.

o Expecting adiyaars from Bangalore, Mysore and Parts of Tamilnadu and THE LIKELY ATTENDANCE WILL BE AROUND 200 MEMBERS. 32 Bhakshanams(32 different kinds of prasadam) for 32 Paddathis of Paduka sahasram will be presented before the lotus feet of Swamy Deshikan. Yathiraaja saptati and Ramanuja nootrandadi ghosti will be held from 10:00 AM in the morning. Thadiyaaradhanams will be arranged with acharam at Swamy Deshikan sannidhi in the afternoon before the commencement of paduka sahasram parayanam.

o Lord shelvapillai purappadu to swamy Deshikan sannidhi will happen after the parayanam.

o Separate Prasadams will be presented to the lord 2 times in the afternoon and in the evening.

o Nootrandadi sattrumurai and Swamy Deshikan vazhitirunamam will be chanted in the end.

· The overall expenditure for one paranayam ghosti in a month will be around 1.5 to 1.8 lakh rupees and altogether 20 lakhs for 12 parayanams in 12 successive months INCLUDING GHOSHTI SAMBHAVANAI, THADIYAARADHANAM AND PRASADAMS, PUSHPAKAIMKARYAMS AND 32 DIFFERENT FRUITS.
