Aani Garudan & Periyazhwar Avathara Utsavam was celebrated in a grand manner at Thiruvallur Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Temple. On July 13th 2016, in the morning around 7.30 am Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Perumal and Periyazhwar. Then in the evening around 6.00 pm Sri Perumal had Garuda Vahanam followed by Maada Veethi Purappadu along with Periyazhwar. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place in the midst of ghosti parayanam. Many devotees participated in the Utsavam and received the blessings of Sri Perumal and Periyazhwar.
