According to the Aagama sastras that guide temple rituals “Mandala Abhishekam” must be performed for over a month (normally 48 days) after the completion of the Mahaa-Samprokshanam or Maha Kumbhabhishekam. The Mandala pooja enhances the divine presence in the consecrated (recharged) archana and moola (main) vigrahaas. Mahasamprokshanam was conducted on June 7th 2016. Mandalabhisheka Poorthi Mahotsavam was performed on July 26th 2016. On this occasion, Thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Perumal with His Consorts and Sri Perumal had Garuda Vahana Alangaram. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Mahotsavam and received the blessings of Divyadampathis.
