Annually Sri Peyalwar from Sri Adhikesava Perumal Devasthanam has been visiting Thiruvallikeni for mangalasasanam. Today, 27 Septemeber 2016, Around 3.00 p.m, Sri Peyalwar is taken in a palanquin from mylapore to thiruvallikeni and nearer Triplicane the pallakku is opened enabling devotees to have his darshan fully. From there, Peyalwar is taken on a grand procession in Chinna mada veethi with Moondram Thiruvanthathi goshti, from the Vahana mandapam, Azhwar enters Thirukovil in kaipalagai. Later in the evening at around 7 pm, there will be grand purappadu of Sri Peyalwar with Lord Sri Parthasarathy and Ubhaya Nachiyar.Peyazhwar will then take Piriya Vidai (leave) from Sri Parthasarathy Perumal at 10 pm and reach Mylai by 11 pm at night.All astikas are invited to take part in the Peyazhwar Mangalasasanam at thiruvallikeni and get the blessings of Azhwar and Perumal.
